New airport terminal for Bush Field Airport in Augusta, Georgia.  Construction of new terminal and demolition of existing terminal had to be phased to continue operation of airport throughout construction.  Design required close coordination with the Owner’s security consultant.  Lighting controls provided so that light fixtures in common areas burn at 50% during daylight hours and at full brightness during nighttime until midnight, when airport shuts down.  Lights then go into “night” mode where only minimal security lighting remains on so that cameras & security guards can still record/see.  Phasing of airport construction required an electrical service yard separate from the building so that the existing airport, the new airport, and the temporary facilities could all be fed simultaneously.  Emergency generator and fuel tank sized so that the airport can remain in operation for a minimum of 72 hours after a power outage.
